German cable operator Kabel BW has signed an agreement with UPC Austria to provision its internet services. The operator can now offer not just internet access, but also email, domain name registration, webhosting and online backup services.
The additional service will be implemented in two phases with email first and the rest of the offering in the second phase. The products will be offered in the “CleverKabel“ product line and will offer access speeds of up to 25 Mbps.
Kabel BW is active in the German state of Baden-Wuertenberg and serves around 2.3 million households, which accounts for two thirds of all homes in the regio served.
