Data produced by Expert Monitor shows that TVN secured more ad revenue in Q1 2007 than any other channel in Poland, its total of PLN453,515,112 (€119,114,477) being PLN103,840,000 higher than in the corresponding period in 2006. Second placed Polsat meanwhile posted PLN407,846,830, or PLN21,640,000 less than in Q1 2006, while third placed TVP1, the public broadcaster’s first national channel, claimed PLN311,119,496. Significantly, the most successful thematic channel was Polsat Sport (PLN44,354,800), followed by TVN24 (PLN35,520,463) and Tele 5 (PLN34,269,235). TV accounted for around 57% of total ad spend in Poland in Q1 2007.
