MIPTV – CANNES. CBS Paramount has closed a deal with German download website Maxdome to offer first-run US TV series on their on-demand platform. The agreement covers prime time series such as “Navy C.I.S.”, “Medium”, “Numb3rs” and “Jericho” that will be available at 2.49 euro per episode. Back catalogue material will be available at 1.49 each.
Maxdome is a closed website that offers movies and television programmes on demand. It is a joint venture between broadcaster ProSiebenSat1 and ISP 1 & 1. According to the broadcaster this is the first deal ever for CBS Paramount International Television to offer prime time series in an on-demand streaming format.
