Entriq has confirmed that it is supplying DRM solutions to RTL Online’s video on demand service RTL NOW!
The addition of Entriq’s DRM solution has enabled the German commercial broadcaster to monetise its established online on demand activities.
RTL NOW! offers a mix of free, ppv, and subscription vod, offering access to the full series of its various daily soaps. Several hundred hours of programming are available, including talent contest Deutschland sucht den Superstar and soap Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten. Acquired material including the US dramas CSI and CSI Miami are also available. Viewers can catch up on missed episodes and for selected shows watch them before their linear transmission.
There are plans to further expand the service over the next few months.
