Italian telecommunications provide and IPTV operator Fastweb has recorded preliminary first quarter revenues of over €353 million. In its preliminary results the company recorded 1,150,400 subscribers – though only a fraction of these take both broadband internet and IPTV – an increase of 80,000 net customers compared to the same period in 2006. First quarter EBITDA rose to over €120 million, an increase of approximately 33% on 2006.
The company said it was reporting free cash flow breakeven in the first quarter of 2007 and confirmed its full year targets.
Yesterday (Thursday), the Swiss competition commission gave its backing to Swisscom’s €6 billion takeover of the company, a week after approval from the Italian authorities.
