The Polish DTH platform Cyfrowy Polsat has chosen Nokia as the core supplier for the mobile virtual network it plans to launch later this year. It has also signed an agreement with Harris Corporation for the provision of its Nexio NX3600 server, which will be used to distribute up to five HD channels it plans to launch, also later this year. Cyfrowy Polsat currently has just over one million subscribers and competes in a market also served by Cyfra+ and n. As a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO), it will be using infrastructure belonging to the mobile company Era.
