Markus Tellenbach has resigned from SBS Broadcasting’s board of directors. He joined the company as its COO in February 2001 and became president seven months later, after which he held the position of CEO from August 2002 until December 2005. He then stepped down as CEO due to ill health but continued to lead the company. During his tenure, Tellenbach saw the company’s revenues grow from €479.9 million in 2001 to €879.5 million in 2005. He also oversaw SBS Broadcasting’s sale to KKR and Permira for €2.1 billion in 2005.
