Leading players in the Czech TV industry have officially joined forces to create a new association known as Digi Monitor. Brought together by an initiative involving the Czech Telecom Office (CTU) and Czech Association of Competitive Communications (CACC), they include UPC, O2, the Czech Digital Group (CDG), Rohde & Schwarz and country’s three leading broadcasters CT, TV Nova and Prima TV and will monitor the transition from analogue to digital broadcasting. This is being undertaken on a region-by-region basis in the Czech Republic and is due to be completed in 2010.
