Arabsat has added the luxury lifestyle channel LUXE.tv to the line-up of the BADR-4 satellite at 26 degrees East. The launch of the HD channel was announced on the Arabsat stand at the Cable and Satellite show currently taking place in July. Luxe.tv becomes the first HD channel to be made available directly to the Middle East and North Africa region.
“The arrival of LUXE.tv’s High Definition channel constitutes a critical milestone in achieving Arabsat’s strategy of introducing – and widely spreading the very latest TV technology across the entire MENA region,” said Arabsat President & CEO Khalid Balkheyour.
Although broadcast in both high and standard definition, Luxe.tv’s programmes are captured entirely in the HD format.
