The Israeli cable operator Hot Telecom has decided to use NDS’s VideoGuard conditional access for its pay-TV subscription-based service. HOT Telecom is owned by the three former MSOs Arutzei Zahav (previously known as Golden Channels), Matav and Tevel and has over a million cable TV and 400,000 broadband Internet subscribers. Offering VoIP and VOD, it competes in a market also served by the incumbent telco Bezeq and its DTH platform Yes. (CD)
