Manthan Broadband Services Pvt. Ltd, a cable television company in India, has chosen the Irdeto Digital TV content security system to be used in the city of Kolkata, the State of West Bengal and Eastern India.
Irdeto will provide Manthan with the Irdeto Zeta Card. The Zeta Card contains advanced security functionalities like Irdeto’s patented FlexiFlash technology for the rapid, secure deployment of new functionalities and security upgrades, as well as an advanced DRM feature that can be used to enforce business rules for content stored on personal video recorders.
Mathan Broadband’s digital cable network offers over 150 entertainment, sports, educational, film and news channels in English and an array of Indian languages. Manthan’s new interactive TV offerings will also be carried by an archipelago of local cable operators across India.
