Apple TV will launch mid-March, a spokesperson for the company said yesterday. The device will wirelessly connect up to five computers to the television set for play back of video content. “Wrapping up Apple TV is taking a few weeks longer than we projected, and we now expect to begin shipments mid-March,” according to emails sent to various news sources. The original launch date was set for mid-February.
Apple TV will bring iTiunes video content to the television set and is one of a number of new devices offering to bring video downloads to the television screen. So far this type of connectivity has been complicated with video quality not always up to television standards. Apple hopes to solve this by applying the iTunes user-friendliness on the television screen.
