According to a report in the Polish press, HBO’s new subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) service HBO Digital will make its debut in Hungary on March 1. Initially offering 50 hours of HBO movies and series, it will be included in the Maxpak package, which currently contains HBO, HBO2, HBO Comedy, Cinemax and Cinemax 2. The report also says that HBO Digital will be eventually introduced in all HBO markets in Central and Eastern Europe with the exception of Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia. Earlier this month Linda Jensen, HBO’s CEO for the region, announced at Cable Europe that the first SVOD launch was planned for March, without specifying the market. (CD)
