The parliamentary communications policy committee in Bulgaria has announced that analogue TV licences will continue to be awarded until the end of 2008, or 12 months longer than had previously been planned. At the same time, it has also decided that the analogue switch off date in the country will be brought forward by three years to 2012. Separately, the Bulgarian incumbent telco BTC has announced that its ADSL subscriber total has now reached 100,000. The company is understood to have no plans as yet to launch an IPTV service. (CD)
