SeaChange International has registered a patent for use in the navigation of video on demand services with the US Patent Office. US Patent 7,155,674 covers a software application within SeaChange’s Channel Overlay application.
Channel Overlay organises the content presented to the subscriber based on the content that is currently being watched. The application overlays the video with a series of hotlinks to relevant on demand content and linear broadcast channels.
