Poland’s TVN has confirmed that it will launch a new business channel at the end of Q3 this year. According to the company’s president Piotr Walter, its start up cost are likely to be up to PLN10 million (€2.57 million). Walter has also confirmed that plans for the new channel have been speeded up by Polsat’s acquisition of TV Biznes, Poland’s first and to date only business channel, for an estimated PLN20-25 million earlier this month. Separately, the DTH plaform Cyfrowy Polsat is to start carrying MTG’s pay channel TV1000 from next month. (CD)
