Angel Gambinio has become the latest senior staff member to leave MTV’s London office. Gambino joined the broadcaster from the BBC in September 2005. She is attributed with the launch of the video-on-demand service MTV Overdrive and the user generated content channel MTV Flux. Just one week ago MTV Networks Europe president and CEO Simon Guild announced his decision not to renew his contract following a 14-year tenure at the broadcaster of niche channels including Nickelodeon, MTV, and TMF. “As my contract was up for renewal I decided it was time to look for something new,” Guild stated.
