Today Dutch streaming website Fabchannel, which specialises in live concerts from the famous Amnsterdam Paradiso club, released a new service, the Fabplayer Beta. The Fabplayer enables music fans to integrate concert videos on their blogs, community profiles, websites and desktops. The Fabplayer is the very first ‘embedded’ player that makes live concerts available to fans all over the world.
It provides full-screen video quality and allows users to program a personalised channel with their favourite songs from the Fabchannel archive. With these features, Fabchannel is one step ahead of the Youtube and Google players, which can only play one video at a time in moderate quality, according to the company.
With the Fabplayer, Fabchannel does not only serve the users of social networks, but also the users of other popular online formats. From MySpace over blogs and band websites to widgets/gadgets on your desktop.
Justin Kniest, CEO of Fabchannel: “The Fabplayer is the ultimate tool for music fans to share their taste in music and to keep up with the best live music in the world. The Fabplayer is the product of our longstanding cooperation with record labels, venues, promoters, artists and users. This is a win-win for all of them.”
