The Polish DTH platform Cyfra+ has signed an agreement with Sharp that will allow both new and existing subscribers to buy 32-52-inch LCD HD sets at a discount. In a promotion due to take place this March and April, they will also be offered the Cyfra+ Prestige package, which includes HD options, free of charge for three months. Cyfra+ launched its first HD channel – Canal+ Sport HD – in December 2006 and the service can be received for free by existing subscribers employing Philips DSR 6201/91 HD decoders. However, they will be charged between PLN10-15 (€2.58-3.87) a month from this July, when more HD channels will be introduced. (CD)
