The three main Dutch language Belgian broadcasters VRT, VMMa and SBS Belgium are combining forces to launch a common catch-up TV portal.

VMMa acquires Vitaya lifestyle channel

The Vlaamse Media Maatschappij (VMMa), a 50/50 joint venture between Belgian publishers Roularta Media Group and De Persgroep, has  acquired lifestyle channel Vitaya, an analogue lifestyle channel mainly aimed at female viewers and the digital channel Vitaliteit.

Flemish broadcasters protest against PVRs

In a letter to Telenet and Belgacom TV, the three main Flemish broadcasters VMMa, VRT and SBS Belgium told the two main operators PVRs “are destroying” their business model and ask for immediate action.
