Julien Ducarroz, currently the CEO of Orange Polska, and his counterpart in Romania Liudmila Climoc will swap roles at the beginning of September.
Commenting on the move, Mari-Noëlle Jégo-Laveissière, Vice President of the Orange Group responsible for Europe (outside France), said: “During the seven years of her presidency, Liudmila and her team in Romania have carried out many innovative projects, such as the launch of 5G services, showing creativity, enthusiasm and unflagging energy. More importantly, Ludmila led the transformation of Orange Romania from a mobile operator to a convergent operator. She is a highly competent leader and I am convinced that she is able to ensure sustainable growth and continue Julien’s mission in Poland”.
She added: “Thanks to his passion and skills, Julien made an important change in Orange Polska. He developed a strategy for turbulent times and achieved financial and commercial results well above expectations, which allowed the company to develop and strengthen its market position despite the adversities flowing from the environment. Thank you to Julien for leading the Orange Polska team with good energy through the difficult time of the pandemic and serious geopolitical and macroeconomic turmoil resulting from the war in Ukraine. I am convinced that it will cope with the challenges in Bucharest just as effectively”.
Orange Polska will be the third country of the Orange Group where Liudmila Climoc will take the position of the president of the management board. Climoc has 25 years of experience in telecommunications. In 2008, she became the CEO of Orange Moldova, and since 2016 she has been managing Orange Romania.
Ducarroz has been head of Orange Polska since 2020 and says he is returning to Romania for personal reasons.
