The take-up of new television services is growing rapidly in Central and Eastern Europe and in particular in Poland, one of the region’s largest and most dynamic markets.
Broadband TV News, in association with Level 3 Communications, will hold a breakfast briefing at Le Méridien Bristol, Warsaw on Thursday, May 31 to examine the development and future prospects of such services in Poland.
The event will run from 09.00 to 11.30, starting with a light breakfast, and an opportunity to network with your peers.
Focusing on the connected TV environment, Connected TV in Poland will take the form of a panel discussion involving leading players from the industry and cover such areas as regulation, on demand services and content delivery. Particular points to be addressed will include:
Navigating the new world: How will the Polish consumer find their way around the connected TV environment? Will TV manufacturers be left to choose the look and feel or will broadcasters want to have the final say?
Quality of Service: How can the standard of internet-delivered television in Poland be maintained and what can the broadcasters do to ensure their picture quality is not harmed by poor backbone infrastructure?
Let’s get connected: Consumers are buying smart TVs in increasing numbers, but less than half are actually hooking them up to the internet. What can be done to encourage them?
The Polish Way: Poland is one of the leaders in connected TV in Central & East Europe. How does the offer differ from that of other markets?
Confirmed panellists include:
- Albert Szybinski, Product Management Director, ipla (Cyfrowy Polsat/Redefine)
- Grzegorz Stanisz, Senior Product Marketing Manager, Samsung Electronics
- Tomasz Berezowski, Member of the Board, CTO, TVN S.A.
