Mirek Smyk has almost 10 years hands-on experience and international exposure in strategic and operational management in pay-TV and telecom in Balkans and CEE.
Aged 29 he was appointed the youngest General Manager of a DTH platform and during the last two years has grown the Romtelecom Dolce platform to more than 1.2 million set-top boxes deployed.
Moreover he is among few people in IPTV industry that conceptualized and launched two different IPTV platforms in two different markets (O2 TV in Czech Republic and Dolce Interactiv in Romania).
Currently Mirek is involved in a working group focusing on strategic content partnerships and TV business development in the region of Southern and Eastern Europe, part of the cooperation with Deutsche Telekom -OTE.
