Radu Teodorel joined Romania’s National Audiovisual Council (CNA) in 1992 as a technical expert and then went to become a director of its Licensing Department. He has been a full member since 2003 and became its VP in May this year.
Radu graduated in applied electronics at Iasi Polytechnic, and after doing specialist training in Houston, Texas, worked for many years in the oil industry. The various posts he held included both senior and coordinating engineer at the Ministry of Geology, as well as senior engineer in electronics at Foradex SA following the closure of the ministry.
Radu has participated as a delegate for the CNA at a number of events including EBU debates on the role of the audiovisual public service (Brussels) and a seminar on the European convention on Tranfrontier Television in an audiovisual space in full development (Strasbourg). He completed a Masters in Modern Government and European Integration at the SNSP, Public Administration Faculty in Bucharest in 2005-6.
