TVP goes for Autocue

The Polish national public broadcaster TVP has placed an order for eight Autocue software packages for deployment across 10 of its regional networks. Autocue provides a single solution for all transmission, newsroom, scripting and prompting requirements. It includes the BBC. Bloomberg, NBC and CNN among its clients.

TPSA heads for break-up

Ines set to spend

The Romanian IPTV operation Ines plans to invest €500,000 on its network in 2008, according to a local report. UPC freezes Slovak prices

UPC Broadband Slovakia has announced that it will not raise the prices for any of its services from the beginning of 2008. These now include a 70-channel digital cable TV offer named UPC Digital, which made its debut earlier this year, as well as analogue cable TV, broadband Internet access and telephony.

TPSA starts to speed up

Comstar snaps up regional provider

Russia’s Comstar UTS has acquired an 87.5% stake in the alternative telco Regional Technical Centre (RTC) for $21 million (€14.4 million) in cash. RTC is based in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area, where Sistema-backed Comstar UTS already has a presence through Tyumenneftegassvyaz, the region’s second largest alternative carrier.
