The world’s first dedicated magic channel, TVMagicians.com, is to launch on the online video network, PlayTV UK. Created for magicians, the channel is headed by Geoff Harrison, a foreign correspondent from the BBC who is also a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians.
TVMagicians.com has officially launched on its own internet portal and will begin broadcasting on the PlayTV UK set-top box service later this month. It is the first television station to showcase magic programming 24 hours a day.
Geoff, who has worked around the globe as a professional magician under the name Geoff Diamond, said in a prepared statement: “Magicians have been talking about a dedicated magicians’ channel for a number of years now. The channel is already causing a stir in the magic world, with filming recently taking place at London’s oldest magic shop, Davenports, at Charing Cross.”
The channel, which is supported by Davenports, also broadcasts demonstration material from Penguin Magic (USA), Party PR (London) and Club Chiva (London). TVMagicians.com currently has over 66 hours of content.
