The Digital TV Group has confirmed the departure of Dermot Nolan as director-general of the organisation after just six months in the post.
A statement from the DTG, responsible for setting many of the digital standards in UK DTT and recently Freesat, said Nolan had left the DTG council with immediate effect.
The DTG’s chief operating officer, Keith Wilkinson, and technology director, Simon Gauntlett will assume joint interim management of the Group.
Nolan was scheduled to appear at the Understanding and Solutions Driving Digital Content Event on Thursday, but failed to appear.
Often outspoken, Nolan took over from Richard Lindsay-Davis after 20 years as a strategic consultant in international broadcasting.
