The Ukrainian Council of Television and Radio Broadcasting (Rada) has added two Polish channels to the list of foreign services allowed in the country.
In a statement, it says that the two channels in question – Kino Polska Muzyka International and Kino Polska International – meet the requirements of the European Convention on Transfrontier Television and Ukrainian legislation.
It adds that Scripps Network International Limited UK, their owner, asked for permission for them to be distributed on Ukrainian cable networks.
Both channels are licenced by the Polish regulator KRRiT. On air for 23 hours daily, they broadcast in Polish and are commercial-free.
