The Polish DTH platform nc+ plans to increase the number of Canal+ branded premium channels it offers from six to eight.
At the same time, it will make important changes to the programming on its flagship channel and start producing its own series.
Speaking to the magazine Sukces and quoted by Wirtualne Media, the president of ITI Neovision, the operator of nc+ and broadcaster of Canal+, said that the flagship channel would be transformed from a service offering just offering films to one also showing sport, music and new programming.
However, it would still remain free of advertising.
Meanwhile, the first of the new Canal+ channels would focus on sport and second on documentaries and films about famous people and their achievements.
The latter would include productions made with a still-to-be-named TV partner.
Canal+ will in addition start to produce Polish series again after a break of three years.
