The BBC has introduced a new heart ‘button’ on browser-based versions of the BBC iPlayer and its TV and radio programme pages.
It’s the first step in a personalisation programme that will ultimately allow the BBC to direct viewers and listeners to other parts of its output.
In the first stage participants will be asked to sign up for a newsletter that will highlight relevant shows that may have been missed and show input from experts, famous faces and opinion formers.
A new destination www.bbc.co.uk/love has also been set up to tell viewers more.
The campaign has been accompanied by a new slogan “If You Love Something, Let It show” and a promotional film that features a version of The Beatles’ All You Need is Love, recorded by Rae Morris.
