All five companies that submitted bids for the DTT auction currently being held in Romania have qualified for the next stage of the contest.
The regulator ANCOM’s auction commission will announce the winning offers following this first stage and whether bidding rounds are necessary by the end of this month.
The companies – 2K Telecom, Radio M Plus, Regal, Cargo Sped and Digital Video Broadcast – lodged bids in a contest that will see 10-year licences awarded for two national, 40 regional and 19 local multiplexes.
The winners will be able to start providing commercial DTT from June 15 this year.
