The Polish cable operator Multimedia Polska has posted revenues of PLN261.6 million (€61.8 million) for its TV business in the first nine months of the year.
This was an increase of 0.6% on the same period in 2013, with digital services, accounting for PLN154.1 million (+11.3%), driving growth.
Perhaps surprisingly, revenues from premium channels fell by 5.9% year-on-year to PLN19.8 million in the first nine months of 2014.
As of the end of September, Multimedia Polska had 768,500 TV RGUs (756,700 a year earlier, of which 366,000 were for digital and 316,000 for analogue services.
Its premium RGU total stood at 87,000.
The cable operator’s total revenues in the first nine months of the year were PLN526.5 million (+0.5%), while EBITDA was PLN262.8 million (-1.3%) and net profit PLN34.2 million (+50.1%).
Multimedia Polska says it is focused on further acquisitions and as of this year already has around PLN450 million put aside for any future deals.
