CET 21, the licence holder for the leading Czech broadacster TV Nova, has signed a long-term cooperation agreement with UPC, the country’s largest cable operator.
Under it, UPC subscribers will from today (October 29) be able to again watch the channel Nova Sport, which will be available in the premium package Sport, in HD quality.
They will also be able to watch Nova, Fanda and Nova Cinema in other UPC packages.
Commenting on the agreement, Christoph Mainusch, MD and CEO of Nova, said: “We are pleased that we have agreed with the largest cable operator in the Czech Republic on long-term cooperation. With it, customers will be able to enjoy our UPC programmes in the highest possible quality while watching exclusive content and attractive sports events on the premium channel Nova Sport.”
Frans Willem de Kloet, CEO of UPC, added: “We are pleased that we can return Nova Sport in HD to our customers. Part of the long-term agreement with Nova TV is the inclusion of the channels Nova, Nova Cinema and Fanda in HD. In the long term, we are trying to maintain and increase the value of television packages for our customers. I think that fans of quality hockey, football or MotoGP will be especially pleased.”
