The Lithuanian incumbent Teo has secured permission from the country’s Radio and Television Commission to distribute the Russian channel Dozdh (‘Rain’) from the beginning of October.
As a result, it will become the first national broadcaster in Lithuania to include Dohzd in its main package of TV channels.
Dohzd will be on air for 24 hours a day, offering viewers most news, analysis and discussion shows.
Around 70% of its output consists of live broadcasts.
It is expected to become especially popular among Russian-speakers in Lithuania.
Teo, which operates both IPTV and DTT services, will also add Fox to its offer on October.
