Poland’s Polsat and Grupa Onet-RAS Polska have entered into a VOD distribution agreement.
Under it, users of the VoD.pl service, which is operated by Grupa Onet-RAS Polska, will through Cyfrowy Polsat’s on demand service Ipla gain free access to content shown by Polsat and Ipla.
Commenting on the development, Mark Dekan, CEO of Grupa Onet-RAS Polska, said: “We are happy to announce the beginning of the venture, which has a chance to change the face of the VOD market in Poland. Its purpose is to provide users with the best possible deals and to show that key players in this market segment want and can work together”.
Maciej Stec, a member of the board of Cyfrowy Polsat, added: “We have been cooperating with the Onet Group for a long time now and we believe it is the best time to extend the scope of this cooperation. Thanks to this, VoD.pl users have access to popular Polish programmess and serials from Ipla and Polsat TV, and we will increase our presence on the internet and the viewership figures of our content. The permanent and best-known place where favourite series from Polsat appear is of course Ipla and this will of course not change”.
