The French broadcaster Groupe AB is set to replace its AB4 channel in French-speaking Belgium by ABXplore on September 13.
The channel wil be distributed by most of the Belgian platforms including Proximus, VOO, Orange, Telenet and SFR, reaching a potential audience of 1.6 million homes.
ABXplore’s programming will be aimed at a male audience, with programmes supplied from AB’s own catalogue as well as productions acquired from Discovery, A&E, National Geographic and BBC.
Groupe AB also operates AB3, a dedicated channel for French-speaking Belgium with a female audience in mind.
Ad sales for the new channel will be handled by RMB, the company that also sells commercial airtime for FRench language public broadcaster RTBF and AB3.
