Poland’s Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) has completed an investigation into how providers of electronic communications sell their services.
Specifically, it examined if they provide customers with recordings of telephone conversations in which they are sold contracts.
Although most operators were found to comply with this requirement, question marks were raised about Cyfrowy Polsat, the country’s leading provider of pay-TV services, and Vectra, the second largest cable operator.
Although Vectra has since agreed to comply, the UOKiK has now launched a further investigation into Polsat and also Polkomtel, which has failed to comply with the Office’s requests.
