Ericsson says its up-for-sale Media business improved in the second quarter following increased sales.
But Media was a rare glimmer in another poor showing. Overall sales dropped 8 per cent and its operating loss widened to SEK1.2 billion.
The Swedish tech firm is continuing to explore strategic opportunities for the division, now relegated to ‘Other’ in the company’s accounts.
The improvement is due in part to sales of the MediaFirst platform, the successor to MediaRoom, which went live for some operators in the quarter.
