German fibre-optic network operator Deutsche Glasfaser has doubled the speed of its fastest internet access for private households from 500Mbps to 1Gbps.
The upload data rate amounts to 500Mbps. The increase covers the whole footprint of the company operating local networks throughout Germany.
Business customers can get 10Gbit/s connections on request.
The private customer tariff DG giga 1000 costs €104.99 per month in the first year and €159.99 per month thereafter.
German network operator EWE also recently introduced 1Gbps internet access for private households.
