The Slovak sports channel 213 has become the first to in the country broadcast via satellite in Ultra HD.
According to Satelitna TV, it is undergoing tests as a FTA service distributed by the Belarussian satellite Belintersat at 51.5 degrees East and in partnership with the DTH platform Pantelio, which is providing the channel at its own expense.
Pantelio is already broadcasting a number of Slovak regional TV stations including TV Severka, TV Vega, TV Story, TV Central and TV Bratislava.
It is expected to start direct Ultra HD transmissions at the end of the year.
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, Pantelio is a B2B service backed the German-based company Panaccess.
