Minos Kyriakou, the founder and chairman of Antenna Group, has died of a heart attack in Athens.
Kyriakou began his career as a ship owner in the 1960s and remained involved in the sector. A former president of Greece’s Olympic Committee, his involvement in the media industry began in 1988 with the establishment of Antenna Radio.
Antenna Television was launched a year later and today Antenna Group is an international media entertainment organisation with FTA TV channels in Greece, Serbia, Slovenia, Montenegro and Romania, and pay-TV channels that are broadcast in over 40 countries.
