The Regional Court in Bratislava has confirmed a ruling by Slovakia’s Anti-Monopoly Office (PMO) against Slovak Telekom.
Medialne reports that the PMO found in 2007 and 2009 that the incumbent telco had abused its dominant market position, setting a pricing policy in wholesale and retail markets in such a way that alternative operators were not able to replicate its dominant retail products.
As a result, it was fined over €17 million for its actions.
The case was handled by the Regional Court in Bratislava after Slovakia’s Supreme Court annulled the court’s previous decision.
