O2 has launched a commercial digital TV service in Slovakia.
According to the company, O2 TV made its debut last week after over year of trials and offers viewers over 72 channels in three fixed-line packages. It is also available as a mobile service and can be watched on up to four devices.
Customers can record up to 100 hours of content, view programmes within 50 hours of their transmission and store them for up to 30 days.
However, O2 notes that the functionality and service options remain at the pilot phase, so that O2 TV can only be used with the internet at home.
Customers who have accessed the service in the pilot phase will be automatically switched to ‘Blue O2 TV’.
O2 is offering Blue O2 internet customers a monthly reduction of €2.50 of they also take up any O2 TV package.
Silver and Gold O2 internet customers will meanwhile be offered monthly discounts of €5 and €7.50 respectively.
