Peter Haggart, SVP programming, has left Liberty Global after a long and successful career with the company.
A media veteran, hitherto in senior roles within Walt Disney TV International and Warner Bros Home Video, he joined Chello Media, the content arm of Liberty Global, to start up a specialist On Demand business unit. Pioneering the deployment of transactional and SVOD services across Europe, his remit evolved to cover marketing, creative services, business development and programming, prior to heading up the unit.
Subsequently, his team was transferred into Liberty Global, after the sale of Chello Media to AMC Networks International in 2012. Aside from being the company’s VOD expert, he has been prominent in building the company’s premium pay-TV propositions, leading content acquisitions & negotiations with the Hollywood studios and managing the overall programming account relationship with AMC NI.
Prior to media and entertainment, Haggart’s early career was spent in marketing & sales management roles with leading FMCG companies, including HJ Heinz and Pepsico Foods International.
