Italy’s Gambero Rosso has entered into a joint venture with Giglio Group to launch an international English language food channel.
The strategic goal of the Gambero Rosso-branded channel will be to add to the portfolio of TV services already operated by Giglio Group. These are distributed in 55 countries, five continents and six languages on satellite, mobile, web TV and by airline companies.
It will also further enrich the content of the group’s IBOX platform.
Meanwhile, for Gambero Rosso the channel will allow it to further expand its international presence. It is already present on China’s CCTV with Giglio Group and also on Teleticino in Switzerland.
Milan-based Giglio Group was founded by Alessandro Giglio in 2003 and is an e-commerce 4.0 company. Besides being a leading radio broadcaster, it has developed cutting-edge digital solutions and has a global presence in the online fashion digital marketplace. Giglio Group also produces multimedia content that is transmitted through operator agreements and largely proprietary fibre and satellite broadcasting infrastructure of the M-Three Satcom division. Its channel portfolio currently consists of Nautical Channel, Giglio TV, Acqua and Playme.
Gambero Rosso, on the other hand, is a leading global promotion and education group in the wine travel food sector and wholesaler of Made in Italy.
