Zattoo has launched the next generation of its white label IPTV service with NetCologne being the first German network operator to go live with it today.
The 3.0 service rolled out for Swiss network operators last month comprises a completely reworked user interface and uses one of the most cutting-edge programming languages to boost its performance, according to Zattoo.
The new Zattoo user interface for the first screen is supported by the ABOX42 M20 and M30 set-top box platforms.
Zattoo will present the new release live at ANGA COM 2017 in Cologne on its stand in hall 8 at booth R9 with NetTV, NetCologne’s multiscreen IPTV solution, as an example.
The German regional telco launched NetTV on May 2, 2016, based on the Zattoo’s white label IPTV platform. The set-top-boxes are provided by German technology company ABOX42.
“The cutting-edge user interface lays the foundations for NetTV’s next expansion phases. We are seeing increasing demand for innovative TV functions”, said Daniel Rehkämper, Product Marketing Team Leader at NetCologne.
Gernot Jaeger, Chief Officer of B2B TV Solutions at Zattoo, added: “We are pleased that NetCologne is the first German network operator to launch the new release of generation 3.0. The implementation in Switzerland has been very promising so far. This upgrade will be rolled out to more customers soon.”
