40 new jobs have been created through a new customer service programme at Virgin Media Ireland.
The new ‘Red House’ in home customer service is designed to help customers get the most out of their Virgin entertainment services.
So-called Red House Ninjas will visit customers’ homes and fine-tune the set-up of their broadband and TV, connect all devices and upgrade equipment.
Michael McCarthy, Vice President of Customer at Virgin Media said: “As Ireland’s leading connected entertainment provider with the fastest broadband speeds, we’re thrilled to launch Red House, the next stage of our continuous investment in customer experience. We know every home is different – from multi-device gaming and streaming movies at the same time to walls that are killing the Wi-Fi signal, there are plenty of issues that can hamper speeds and connectivity”.
Customers will receive a visit from the Red House team if a self install is not possible or a maintenance visit is required. Customers who request a visit themselves will be charged €50.
The 40 jobs created through service partner Actavo are in addition to 120 new jobs at Virgin’s National Customer Experience Centre at Roxboro in Limerick.
