M7 Group has upgraded its Skylink Live TV internet TV service, introducing a new intuitive interface and adding significantly more content and new features.
According to M7 Group, the changes were introduced at the beginning of this month and see customers now offered 46 channels on smartphones, tablets and PCs in addition to conventional TV screens. Each customer can use up to four of these devices simultaneously, now also outside their home network, with a suitable internet connection. The ioS and Android versions of the app are available for mobile devices, and the service can also be accessed via the livetv.skylink.cz site and EVO-S hybrid satellite receivers.
Meanwhile, catch-up has been extended from 24 hours to seven days and a videotape with dozens of selected titles has been added to complement the Banxi video rental offer.
Of the 45 TV channels, Skylink customers have the option to watch the ones that are part of their programme package until the end of this month.
As of June 1, Skylink Live TV becomes a free component of Smart, Flexi 7, Multi, HD Plus, Kombi, Multi HD and Komplet. Subscribers to these packages will be able to access the selected programmes from their package via Skylink Live TV at no additional charge. Meanwhile, customers with the Digital Package will continue to have free access to the video library and automatically get full access if they go to one of the higher packages.
Commenting on the revamp of Skylink Live TV, Jaromir Glisnik, member of the board of directors of the M7 Group, said: “The services we provide strive to constantly develop and focus on things that are essential to our customers. From our surveys and our experience with interactive television, it is clear that the ability to watch favourite programmes, selected programs anytime and anywhere for a large part of our customers is important. As a rule, however, they are not prepared to pay for this option. So we believe that a free upgrade to Skylink Live TV is a step in the right direction.”
Skylink is the leading provioder of DTH services in both the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
