UPC Hungary has been fined HUF30 million (€97,000) for launching services in the city of Jászberény without official permission.
In a statement, the regular NMHH says that the operator began offering the services at the end of 2015 without notifying it.
The NMHH adds that it subsequently imposed a fine – initally set of HUF40 million – last year.
Although it was not challenged by UPC, the operator filed an action because in its view the NMHH did not correctly determine the size of the fine.
While the action was dismissed by the Metropolitan Adminisration and Labour Court, the fine was subsequently reduced to HUF30 million.
