Greece’s privatisation agency TAIPED has announced that it is seeking a financial advisor for the sale of a 5% stake in the incumbent telco OTE.
According to Reuters and Ekathimerini, the sale is a condition of Greece’s international bailout.
OTE is currently 40% owned by Deutsche Telekom.
It is also the majority shareholder in Telekom Romania.
Both OTE and Telekom Romania are leading providers of pay-TV services in their respective markets.
